A Note from the Editor

TSM Editor

“At long last, you have come to realize that service to others is all you have to offer in this life!”
Dear Members, Greetings!

Service has been a part of my AA life, even before I got sober! From the very first meeting that I willingly attended, and was asked to help set and pick up chairs and ashtrays (yes, there were smoking meetings back then!), service made me feel useful and was instrumental in rebuilding my shattered self-esteem. Service also helped me connect with other members, feel wanted, and led to a host of other benefits including group and intergroup level service, helping host conventions, start meetings and above all, learn the local language.

The theme for this issue is “The Gift of Service”, and the stories in here speak of the uncountable benefits of chairing meetings – face to face and online, carrying the message of the fellowship to institutions like rehabs and jails, and even to old timers who may not be able to get to meetings anymore, reaching out to people of all sexualities and labels, and even to strangers.

We want to carry articles from you, deam Members. We intend for the TSM to carry only Indian articles in future, and be a voice of our local fellowship! Send us your general or theme-based sharing or even your experiences with the steps, traditions and concepts, and encourage others to do so too!

Enjoy this website and have happy, joyous and free days!

Love and hugs,

Editor
